10 Cancer-Related NGOs Serving The Underprivileged In India:
Introduction:-
Over 10 million people are estimated to die from cancer each
year, and at least one-third of major malignancies are avoidable, according to
GLOBAL research. The fact that 70% of cancer-related
fatalities take place in low- to middle-income nations is concerning. India is
one among them.
While 16 lakh new instances of cancer are discovered in
India each year, about eight lakh people die from the disease annually,
according to a parliamentary panel in 2019. Six crore Indians are pushed below
the poverty level each year due to cancer treatment costs. The same group also
expressed worry over the fact that 68% of cancer patients pass away from the
condition. The infrastructure for cancer treatment
should be quickly upgraded, and the cost of cancer therapy should be reduced
nationwide. Given the nation's resource shortage and the vast disparities in
the treatment of those impacted by cancer that is easier said than done.
About Top 10 Cancer Care NGO:-
Many cancer care NGOs play a crucial role in bridging the
gap by providing the patients with access to cheap healthcare, nutrition,
and other types of assistance, giving them a fighting chance to survive cancer.
